This brand aims to highlight a growing issue in our communities, neighborhoods, and my own home.

A few years ago, right after the pandemic, I fell in love with someone unexpectedly. They entered my life at a time when I wasn't looking for love, and their passion elevated my spirits until we found ourselves living in a dream. I invested my soul into this relationship, and for a while, everything seemed perfect. However, things soon began to change. The person I once knew started to fade away. Their behavior shifted from upbeat, motivated, and passionate to withdrawn, irritable, and moody. They struggled to stay awake but refused to lie down and get any rest.

I first learned about fentanyl after my partner crashed my BMW. Not long after that, they lost their job. I tried to leave them, but ultimately, I chose to stay. I pay the bills, and we fight every day because I hate the lifestyle that has taken over our lives. I keep pushing with the hope that they'll wake up and change. Every day, I ask myself "why?" but I still don't have an answer. I know I'm not ready to give up.

Every time I look around my neighborhood, I see people who seem broken. They appear stuck in a bent-over position, always sleeping while standing, with crooked backs. This sight has become a regular occurrence on our street corners, at bus stops, in parks, and outside shopping centers. It's overwhelming, and every time I see someone falling asleep while standing and nodding off with their government-issued free phone in hand, I want to scream, "PUT THE DAMN PHONE DOWN!" Why do they always pick it up again only to fall asleep and drop it repeatedly until it finally breaks?

These experiences inspire my designs. They serve as a simple way to raise awareness about an overwhelming problem that is affecting our communities—your Support Matters.
